We're delighted you're planning to join us this autumn in the lush green of Portland. Here's some places we recommend whether you're planning to rent a room for the night, or make it a long weekend!
Embassy Suites Downtown

One of the best things about this hotel is that you'll be in the heart of downtown, and within walking distance of the Chinese garden. It's a bit on the pricey side, running around $200/night, but we've heard from those who've stayed there that it's worth the money. The interior is lux with a vintage style.

McMenamins Hotels
Kotetsu and Daimei love McMenamins hotels and have enjoyed getaways at several locations. Each hotel has art permeating the walls, and often lots of fun little pubs or restaurants you can enjoy when not caught up in wedding madness. Even better, both of the hotels below have warm soaking pools you can enjoy for free during your stay! We highly recommend!

The Crystal Hotel (Downtown Portland): Each room is music themed for a bit more of an urban, rock-n-roll vibe.
The Kennedy School (North East Portland): A converted school that now has a detention cigar bar, movie theater and boiler room lounge.

Why not get together and rent a house?

There are lots of short term vacation rentals available around Portland that have a larger number of sleeping spaces for the money! Rather than spending 100-300/night per room, why not pay that amount for the whole place and stay with friends (new and old)? We're happy to help arrange groups if folks are interested in this idea. Plus you get a kitchen, and a chance to get to know Portland off the beaten track! Let us know if you're wondering about neighborhoods worth getting to know!
